The Jatiyo Party has announced the formation of a new Central Convening Committee of its student wing, Jatiyo Chhatra Samaj, following the dissolution of the previous body. The decision, approved by the party’s Chairman, was confirmed in an official order issued on Friday, August 29, by the party’s Secretary General Kazi Md. Mamunur Rashid.
According to the announcement, Dhaka University’s Selim Rana Siam has been appointed as the convener of the committee, while Shahidul Islam Shakil of Far-East International University will serve as the member secretary. The newly formed body also includes Md. Sharif Mia as senior joint convener, Rahul Hossain Zipu as joint convener, and Selim Rana Hero as member.
The committee has been tasked with expanding its structure further. Within the next 15 days, it is expected to form a full-fledged convening committee with representatives from universities and colleges across the country.
The Jatiyo Party emphasized in its notification that the order has already come into effect.
