Famous hospital located at Kanke, Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) will turn 105 on Wednesday (17th May 2023) and will enter 106th year. On this occasion a special program has been organized in the campus of CIP Kanke. India is presiding over the G-20 during Amritkal. That’s why this time programs have been linked with globalization.
The theme of the CME is ‘Mental Health and Globalization’
A CME will be organized on this occasion, the topic of which will be Mental Health and Globalization (Globalization and Mental Health: Marching through the G-20 Leadership Year’. At 11:30 am Dr. Sanjay Kumar Munda will deliver a speech on the topic ‘Mental Health of Marginalized Communities in the Era of Globalization’. Dr. Nikhil Nair will speak on ‘LGBTQ and Mental Will give information on the topic ‘Health: From Global to Local’.

Malvika Parakh will give detailed information about how ready India is for emotional bonding between mother and child. His topic will be ‘Global Trends in Mother-Baby Mental Well Being: Is India Prepared’. The first session will be chaired by Dr. D. Ram and Dr. B. Das. There, there will be another session, in which Dr. Pooja Sharma and Dr. Chandramouli Roy will speak on ‘Endoxifen: From Cortex to Clinic’. This session will be chaired by Dr. Nishant Goyal along with Dr. B. Das.
Launch of CIP Bulletin 2023 and Alumni Newsletter 2023
After lunch there will be CIP Alumni Meet and AGB meeting. Before this ‘CIP Bulletin 2023’ and ‘Alumni Newsletter 2023’ will be inaugurated. The chief guest of the ceremony will be Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Sinha, Vice Chancellor, Ranchi University and the guest of honor will be IIM Ranchi Direct Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Srivastava.

About 150 mental illness professionals from India and abroad will participate in this program. Certificates will be given to the best performing resident doctors, students and staff and officers. Before the main event, a cultural program was also organized by the patients and interns of the hospital on Tuesday evening on the eve of the foundation day of CIP.
