A self-proclaimed researcher of Al Jazeera English, Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat is secretly working on a documentary targeting Qatari government, including Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani. Back in February 2021, Zulkarnain Saer Sami, with the help of British Jew and so-called journalist David Bergman succeeded in using Al Jazeera English in running a documentary targeting Bangladesh Army.

The report of Al-Jazeera, in the form of a documentary, consists of numerous false and fabricated stories in respect of the Government of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Army, creating unnecessary confusion among the general mass. It is clear from the report that it has been intentionally prepared blending some untrue, fabricated, fictitious, speculative and unsupported information with some isolated incidents in order to discredit the Government of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Army and Gen Aziz Ahmed, then Chief of Army Staff Gen Bangladesh Army among the mass people of Bangladesh and the world. This documentary was a brainchild of David Bergman who had teamed-up with Zulkarnain Saer Sami and the key agenda behind this was to defame ruling Awami League government, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Army. Earlier, David Bergman succeeded in getting another propaganda content aired on Al Jazeera English for which he reportedly took £100,000 from an individual named Colonel (sacked) Shahid Uddin Khan. It may be mentioned here that Shahid Uddin Khan is a convicted terror funder facing numerous sentences on allegation of terror funding, money laundering and tax evasion and has be wanted by Interpol since 2019.

Most interestingly, prior to making and airing the propaganda content in favor of Colonel (sacked) Shahid Uddin Khan targeting various individuals in Bangladesh government, Al Jazeera English team visited Khan’s residence in London on a number of occasions over lunch and dinner. Even Shahid Uddin Khan was given assurance by David Bergman and the team of Al Jazeera of running few more “documentary reports” against targeted figures in the Bangladesh government. As subsequent “documentary reports” were not aired, an angry Shahid Uddin Khan came on Facebook live and accused David Bergman and the team of Al Jazeera of taking “huge amount of cash” from him in exchange for making of the documentaries. Khan even went further by claiming, the cash were received by David Bergman as “production cost” of the “documentary reports”. Few weeks later the live content was removed by Shahid Uddin Khan as possibly under persuasion of Bergman.

This newspaper has received several photographs of Al Jazeera team in London visiting the residence of Shahid Uddin Khan along with David Bergman and having dinner with the Interpol-wanted convicted criminal. It has also been learnt, these individuals also met Shahid Uddin Khan on a number of occasions over lunch and dinner at various restaurants in London city. It is anticipated that these individuals had discussed details of their plot of publishing reports favorable to Shahid Uddin Khan. For journalists, such acts though are totally unethical, the Al Jazeera team in London has committed such acts under the influence of David Bergman, while Bergman, a so-called journalist having no job with any of the news outlets in the United Kingdom or elsewhere is using Al Jazeera as cash-cow.

According to media reports, months after succeeding in establishing himself as a reporter of Al Jazeera English, David Bergman established a new site named ‘Netra News’ from Sweden, for which he managed funding from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).

On its website, NED says, “Since its founding in 1983, the Endowment has remained on the leading edge of democratic struggles everywhere, while evolving into a multifaceted institution that is a hub of activity, resources and intellectual exchange for activists, practitioners and scholars of democracy the world over”.

NED, claiming to be “bipartisan and transparent” says: “From its beginning, NED has remained steadfastly bipartisan. Created jointly by Republicans and Democrats, NED is governed by a board balanced between both parties and enjoys Congressional support across the political spectrum”.

Many people term NED as a project of CIA.

Now another black-sheep named Zulkarnain Saer Khan Sami alias Tanvir Md. Sadat has ridden on the shoulders of Al Jazeera English and by pretending as being an insider of the channel, Sami is currently working on a documentary titled “Qatar Diary”, which shall portray “repression on foreign workers by Qatari regime”. He also reportedly gathering information on “properties and wealth of Qatari royals abroad”.

Zulkarnain Sami reportedly is working on this report for Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and a British television network, for which he is working under direct guidance of David Bergman.

It may be mentioned here that, Sami has worked as an associate and was a confidante of the brothers of Bangladesh’s former army chief General Aziz Ahmed – namely Harris Ahmed and Tofael Ahmed Joseph, from 2009 to 2017. For these years, he was enjoying numerous benefits including shares in business ventures of former army chief’s brothers. But gradually Sami became greedier and demanded higher stake in business shares which had resulted in business feud between him and the brothers of General Aziz Ahmed. Being aggrieved, a vindictive Sami contacted David Bergman seeking his help in taking revenge. Bergman found this as a good opportunity as his key agenda has been defaming ruling Awami League government in Bangladesh. David Bergman took personal initiatives in convincing Al Jazeera English channel in making a documentary based of statements of Zulkarnain Saer Sami. Later, a so-called documentary report titled “All The Prime Minister’s Men” was made and aired.

Now the same Zulkarnain Saer Sami is secretly working on his next project titled “Qatar Diary”, for which he has been contacting foreign workers in Qatar and taking their interviews (including video clips). David Bergman is also involved in this project as the duo are planning to sell the information and content of Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and a British television network against substantial cash.
