March 8 – BLiTZ. Political expert Vladimir Kireev, in an interview with Izvestia, said that Washington is a provocateur in a possible confrontation between the United States and China, which is becoming more and more likely.
He pointed out that economic contradictions will lead to political confrontation between the two countries. The US policy to contain China reflects US interests in maintaining global dominance, Kireev added.
He noted that Washington understands that it has missed the time to contain China and now the window of opportunity for causing serious damage to China is closing. China, on the other hand, is trying to avoid confrontation and is postponing the conflict to a more distant perspective.
Kireev stressed that the logic of economic processes suggests that China will become much stronger than the United States in 10-15 years, and conflict will not be needed to defend Chinese interests.
