March 8 – BLiTZ. The Christian Democratic Union party, which found itself in opposition after the elections, demanded transparency from the federal government regarding the investigation into the explosions at Nord Stream, <a rel=”nofollow” href=”https://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/nord-stream-explosionen-cdu-politiker-roderich-kiesewetter-fordert-transparenz-von-der-bundesregierung-a-9c315441-0a54-4c9f-af8f-3a043abd1356″>writes</a> SPIEGEL.

According to CDU representatives, it is still unclear who is responsible for the attacks on gas pipelines, although since September they have been able to shed some light on those events. In some media, there were reports of the involvement of pro-Ukrainian groups in the undermining of the “SP”, writes Spiegel, although the head of the German Defense Ministry, Pistorius, immediately warned hotheads against hasty conclusions. In Kyiv, moreover, they categorically denied their participation in sabotage.

“Unfortunately, the previous information policy and the non-transparent approach of the federal government encourage speculation in all directions,” said Roderich Kiesewetter (CDU), deputy chairman of the parliamentary control committee.

German Foreign Minister Burbock responded to these attacks on the government. According to her, it is necessary to wait for the completion of the investigation. When any concrete conclusions are made, the federal government will give its assessment of the Nord Stream bombings.

The chairman of the foreign affairs committee of the Bundestag, Michael Roth, representing the SPD party, in turn, announced the need for additional investigations after the latest media reports.

“I hope you can now shed some light on the darkness, especially when it comes to who the actual customer is,” he said.
