Shravani Mela Deoghar: During the Shravani fair, from July 4 to July 17, lakhs of Kanwariyas were coming from Sultanganj to offer Gangajal. Now the group of devotees who came in Purushottam month is performing Jalabhishek of Baba Bholenath with the water of Sangam brought from Prayagraj. Every day before the opening of doors, devotees are queuing up to offer special bhog to Baba, carrying roti made of pure desi ghee, gram dal, jaggery and coconut. In the joy of fulfillment of vow, women are dancing in Baba’s courtyard at night to the beat of drums. For the whole month, Baba will be offered special bhog of Jalabhishek and Rot from Sangam water of Prayagraj.
It is to be known that with the opening of the doors early in the morning, the priest first performed the puja in the temple of Maa Kali and started the Kancha Jal Puja of Baba Bhole Nath. After completing the daily Sardari Puja after 15 minutes, started offering water to the common devotees from 4:20 am. At the same time, SP Subhash Chandra Jat, City SP Jamshedpur Mukesh Kumar were keeping an eye on the law and order in the campus for one hour, from the opening of the doors of the Baba temple to sending the queue to the sanctum sanctorum in an orderly manner.

Fine sand filling has been done on the entire Kanwariya path regarding the Shravani Mela, so that the Kanwariyas do not face any difficulty in walking barefoot here. Apart from this, in order to prevent the sand and carpet spread on the Kanwariya path from heating up, by sprinkling water continuously, it is being cooled and made walkable for the devotees. On the other hand, sometimes in the month of Sawan, due to lack of rain, Kanwariyas have to face a lot of difficulties in deciding their journey. In such a situation, efforts are being made to provide all possible facilities to them by the district administration. For this, Indra rain has been arranged at some distance on the Kanwaria path, so that when the Kanwariyas pass by chanting Baba, they feel relaxed and cool with the water of Indra rain.

Sparsh Puja should start in Baba Mandir: VHP
District Minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Vikram Singh said that there is special importance of Sparsh Puja in Baba Baidyanath temple, people come here for Sparsh Puja. At the same time, Purushottam month comes once every two and a half years, which has special significance. Devotees take bath in Sangam and reach Rajgir in this fair. After worshiping in Rajgir, they come to Baba Baijnath Dham and worship here. If Sparsh Puja remains closed during this period, then somewhere it will affect the economy as well. The district administration needs to think about this. Here the whole economy rests on the Baba Baidyanath temple. We got to see the example of this even during the Corona period. The temple remained closed for one and a half years, which had an effect on the traders as well. In such a situation, it is necessary to start Sparsh Puja.
Temple administration should remove Argha from the temple soon: Bajrang Dal
Bajrang Dal District Coordinator Abhishek Mishra issued a press statement saying that the importance of Sparsh Puja of Baba Baidyanath has been going on for years, but due to Argha, along with foreigners, the local people are not able to come to worship. Such Kanwariyas come to Devghar in Malmas who believe in offering bread and ghee. But due to the indifferent attitude of the temple administration, people are not coming here. Day by day the crowd of Kanwariyas is decreasing in the fair. District administration needs to think. The arrangement of Sparsh Puja will be in everyone’s interest, including the administration and also for the common people and businessmen. Bajrang Dal demands from the district administration that the system of Sparsh Puja should be started soon.
