On Friday in Dharameli village of Rautara police station area of Katihar district, the eccentric husband killed his wife by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon in a domestic dispute. After this, the husband also committed suicide by hanging himself in a bamboo pole at a distance of about one and a half kilometer from the house. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and after investigating, seized both the bodies and got involved in the investigation. According to the local people, for the last two years there was a dispute between the husband and wife over a domestic dispute.

Husband Dharmendra Mandal killed his wife Ruby Devi by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon due to a domestic dispute in Dharmeli village of Rautara police station area and himself committed suicide by hanging himself in Bansbari near Dharmendra Mandal village. Accusing the boy’s side, the middle sister of the deceased woman, Phulhara, a resident of Mansahi police station, said that the in-laws together killed our sister by cutting her with a sharp weapon. After the murder, her husband thought that now we will not be able to survive. Due to this fear the boy also committed suicide. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the DSP and Rautara police station reached the spot and got involved in the investigation. Police said that prima facie the initial investigation of the incident shows that Dharmendra Mandal has killed his wife with a sharp weapon in a room in order of incident.
Both the children went to school at the time of the incident.
The reason behind the dispute is mutual dispute. In which the wife was protesting about the wastage of money by the husband. Meanwhile, on Friday when their children had gone to school. After the child went to school, there was a dispute between the husband and wife. After which the husband carried out this incident. The police is investigating every aspect point by point. Sadar SDPO Omprakash, Rautara Police Station President Dilshad Khan reached the spot, took the body in his possession, prepared the panchnama and sent the body to Sadar Hospital Katihar for postmortem. Both the children and family members of the deceased were in bad condition by crying.
