So far 119 people have been saved in the Raigad accident, the work of removing debris continues

Mumbai, 21 July (Hindustan). So far 119 people have been rescued in the accident at Irshalwadi in Raigad district. 16 people have died on the spot and 21 people are injured. Maharashtra’s Help and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil gave this information on Friday. Anil Patil told that relief and rescue work on the spot has been resumed from this morning.

Anil Patil told that on Wednesday night many houses were buried due to a hillock in Irshalwadi village located in Khalapur tehsil of Raigad district. There were 48 families living in a total of 48 houses in this village. The population of the village was 288 people. After this accident, the work of evacuating the people buried under the debris is going on in the village. The relief and rescue operations, which were stopped on Thursday evening due to darkness, have been resumed from this morning. Due to mud on the spot, lack of road and heavy rains in between, there is a problem in relief and rescue work.

It is noteworthy that after the accident due to landslide in Irshalwadi village, 21 people were taken out of the mud in injured condition and admitted to MGM Hospital. Along with this, the victims of this incident were kept in the relief camp and they are being provided all kinds of facilities.
