Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that our government is constantly trying to speed up the development of the state and works of public interest. The state government is working with commitment for maximum employment generation in remote rural areas. The Chief Minister said that man-days should be created in all the gram panchayats of the state where work can be taken up under the MNREGA scheme. The Chief Minister said that all the pending schemes taken up under MNREGA should be completed in time. Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave these instructions to the officials while reviewing the latest work progress of the schemes run under the Rural Development Department in the Ministry of Jharkhand on Friday.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with the officials reviewed the latest work progress of the schemes being run under the Rural Development Department. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the central government not allotting PM Awas to the deprived 8 lakh beneficiaries of the state. During this, instructions were given to complete the pending schemes of MNREGA at the earliest. The CM said that ensure that no woman is seen selling bones and liquor on the roadside. During this, he said that playground should be made in 10 thousand villages of the state.

CM Hemant Soren urged the Rural Development Minister

Chief Minister Hemant Soren took detailed information from the officials regarding the construction of PM’s residence in the state. The Chief Minister said that those PM houses which are pending due to some reason should be completed soon. In the meeting, the Chief Minister took information from the Rural Development Secretary that what action has been taken in the direction of allotment of houses by the Central Government to the eligible beneficiaries of Jharkhand’s 8 lakh PM Awas Yojana, who are to be allotted PM houses by the Central Government? In this regard, the Rural Development Secretary informed the Chief Minister that no action has been taken so far by the Central Government regarding allotment of houses for the deprived 8 lakh PM housing beneficiaries of the state. Expressing concern over this, the Chief Minister urged the Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam to go to Delhi and meet the Union Rural Development Minister in this regard and request him to take an early decision by the central government in the direction of allotment of PM housing to 8 lakh underprivileged beneficiaries of the state. The Chief Minister said that as per the target in the state, work towards covering eligible beneficiaries with PM housing by 2024.

Tree plantation will now be done on 50 thousand acres from Birsa Green Village Scheme

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that Birsa Harit Gram Yojana is being implemented by the state government for the welfare of farmers and to increase their income. The Chief Minister directed the officials to increase the target of Birsa Harit Gram Yojana and now ensure tree plantation work on 50 thousand acres of land. Provide saplings to the beneficiaries of Birsa Harit Gram Yojana according to their utility and desire so that their income can increase.

Build sports grounds in 10,000 villages under Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Sports Development Scheme

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that under the Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Sports Development Scheme, the government is making sports grounds in every panchayat. Under this scheme, the state government is doing the work of improving the sports talent inside the rural youth. The Chief Minister said that this is a very important scheme. The Chief Minister directed the officials to make sports grounds in every village of the state. The Chief Minister said that under the Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Yojana, move forward with the goal of building sports grounds in 10,000 different villages of the state.

Set a target of building one lakh wells by November 2024

Chief Minister Hemant Soren instructed the officers to work under the Birsa Irrigation Well Promotion Scheme with the target of constructing one lakh irrigation wells in the state by November 2024. In the meeting, information about the updated status of payment under material head of Birsa Irrigation Well Promotion Scheme was placed before the Chief Minister. It was also decided in the meeting that under MNREGA, an amount of 50 thousand will be allocated by the state government under the material head of Birsa irrigation well promotion scheme. The Chief Minister said that due to the construction of the irrigation well, there will be no shortage of water for crop production for the farmers throughout the years. It is the resolution of our government that the income of the farmers of the state can be increased as much as possible.

Give the benefits of the scheme to the bone, liquor seller

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the Phulo Jhano Ashirwad Yojana has been started in Jharkhand by the state government with the aim of making women self-reliant. Through this scheme, work is being done with commitment towards providing employment to the women belonging to the poor and economically weak income group families of the state, who are involved in the manufacture or sale of bone, liquor, to make a living for their families. The Chief Minister directed the officers to launch a campaign to bring the women engaged in the work of selling bones and liquor on the roadside or under trees, into the mainstream of employment. In the coming times, make sure that no woman is seen selling bones and liquor on the roadside. Along with connecting the beneficiaries of Phulo Jhano Yojana with the schemes, give them the benefit of land holding and follow up every 2 months. On this occasion, the Chief Minister reviewed the schemes related to rural development including Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), Didi Bari Yojana, Palash Mart, other schemes run under MNREGA and also gave many important guidelines to the officials. Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary Rural Development Chandrashekhar, MNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
