Ranchi: The Left parties have announced a state-wide agitation on public issues of Jharkhand, announcing to intensify their struggle against the fascist menace of communal-corporate nexus. Under the future program under the leadership of the Left parties by the convention, organizing district level joint convention in the month of June, demonstrations on public issues in all the blocks in the month of July-August, taking out three batches in the month of September and running a statewide campaign by the end of this year. In 2007, a big mobilization of the Left parties was announced in the capital Ranchi. Former MP Bhuneshwar Prasad Mehta said that communal incidents are continuously decreasing in the country. By communal political polarization, the Bharatiya Janata Party has come to power and the agenda remains intact even further. That’s why there is a need for the Left parties to fight unitedly to oust the fascist party from power in the country. He said that the central government is running at the behest of Adani-Ambani. The officers of the state have become unbridled.

It was decided in the convention that the Left parties would launch a sharp and decisive struggle on the issues of the people. The basis letter of the convention was kept by Prakash Viplav, the state secretary of the CPI(M). State Secretary of Communist Party of India Mahendra Pathak said that it is necessary to struggle for political alternative to BJP and JMM in the state. Both BJP and JMM have cheated Jharkhand. The Aadhaar letter underlined that the Left parties would do everything possible to unite all secular and patriotic forces to protect the Constitution and democracy, so that the anti-national RSS-BJP conspiracy could be defeated.

The convention was presided over by a group of presidents of seven Left parties. These included Rajendra Yadav, Surjit Sinha, Anita Devi, Mofiz Sahil, Rajendra Gop, Ganesh Dewan and Sumit Rai. The convention was attended by RSP All India General Secretary Manoj Bhattacharya, former CPI MP Bhubaneswar Prasad Mehta, Male MLA Vinod Singh, CPI State Secretary Mahendra Pathak, Male State Secretary Manoj Bhakta, Politburo member Janardan Prasad, Forward Block’s Arun Mandal, Leaders of various Left parties including CPI(M)’s Sukhnath Lohra, Sameer Das, Sanjay Paswan, CPI’s PK Pandey, KD Singh, Ajay Singh, Farzana Farooqui, MAS’s Sushant Mukherjee, RD Manjhi and Male’s Bhubaneswar Kevat addressed.
