More than 800 teachers of Muzaffarpur’s BRA Bihar University will soon get promotions under the Career Advancement Scheme (CASH). Due to this, their monthly pay scale will also increase. In this, assistant professors reinstated in the year 2017 from BPSC will also be included. Qualifying Assistant Professors will get promotion in the Senior Scale. The state government has approved it. Additional Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar Singh issued a letter in this regard on Wednesday and directed the Vice Chancellor.
Evaluation will be done on the basis of academic and research standards
To provide promotion facility to teachers under CASH, many academic and research standards are to be evaluated on the basis. Only after this, promotion will be given to those who have the qualification. The Additional Chief Secretary has also warned through a letter of strict action against the employee and officer who made mistakes in the promotion process. Teachers working in senior scale will get promotion to Reader and from Associate Professor to Professor.
Vice Chancellor will have to take approval from Raj Bhavan
Approval has been received from the government to give promotion to the teachers of BRA Bihar University. But, before starting the process, the Vice Chancellor in charge of BRA Bihar University will have to take approval from the Raj Bhavan. The reason is that the Vice Chancellor has been authorized by the Raj Bhavan only for routine work. Approval has to be taken from Raj Bhavan before any kind of policy decision. If the process starts without approval, then there can be questions and answers in future.
