It may be known that the first fully successful test of Vande Bharat Express in Odisha took place on 28 April. The trial route of the train was Howrah to Puri and Puri to Howrah. Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express left Howrah at 6:10 am. After this it stopped at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack stations for 2-2 minutes. After this reached Bhubaneswar and Khurda where it stopped for two minutes. Then the train reached Puri at 12:32 pm.

Demand for three Vande Bharat Express trains

Odisha Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu wrote a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on April 28, 2023, after the first full trial run of the Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express. In the letter, he urged to increase the number of Vande Bharat Express trains to at least three in Odisha.
