Arwal. The series of road accidents in Bihar is not taking the name of stopping. Not a day passes when there is no information about a road accident from one district or the other. On an average, half a dozen people are dying daily in road accidents. The latest case is of Arwal district. An uncontrolled car ran over three girl students who were going for tuition on a bicycle late on Tuesday evening near National Highway 139 Validad Cemetery of Mehandia police station area. In this incident, one girl student died on the spot, while two girl students were seriously injured.

Girl students admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment

The deceased has been identified as Munni Kumari, 15-year-old daughter of Shreekeshwar Das, a resident of Hardiya village of Mehandia police station area. After the accident, the uncontrolled car collided with the electric pole and overturned on the road itself. The car driver fled from the spot. The local people informed the police of Mehandia police station about the incident. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Mehandia Police Station President Amit Kumar reached the spot, after which both the injured girl students were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

The body was sent for postmortem

According to the information received, student Munni Kumari had gone to Validad to study tuition like everyday. As soon as she reached near the Validad cemetery, a speeding car coming from the opposite direction hit her in front. Due to this he died on the spot. At present, the police of Mehandia police station sent the dead body to Arwal Sadar Hospital for postmortem and started further action. The car has been seized. The search for the driver continues.
