His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Irfan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, called on Qatari business owners and investors to invest in his country, which provides pioneering investment opportunities in a number of important sectors such as oil and gas, infrastructure, tourism, services, hospitality, agriculture and others.
This came during a meeting held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel yesterday with His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari, First Vice President of the Qatar Chamber.
His Excellency the Guyanese President said that the private sector plays an important role in strengthening and expanding cooperation relations between his country and the State of Qatar, indicating that the two sides can cooperate in sectors such as oil, gas and food security, especially since Qatar pays great attention to these two sectors and has made great achievements in them.
With regard to food security, His Excellency said that the State of Qatar is focusing on this vital sector, and noted that his country provides encouraging investment opportunities in this sector, where Qatari business owners can invest in farms in his country. His Excellency stressed his country’s interest in developing trade cooperation with Qatar and attracting Qatari investments to his country, which provide pioneering investment opportunities and an encouraging investment climate, explaining that the delegation accompanying His Excellency includes businessmen in various sectors such as agriculture, real estate, tourism and others who wish to establish partnerships with the Qatari side.
For his part, HE Mohammed bin Tawar Al Kuwari said that Qatari investors want to see the investment opportunities available in Guyana, stressing the Qatar Chamber’s support and encouragement for Qatari investors to invest in friendly countries that provide attractive investment opportunities such as Guyana.
