Employment Fair: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Today, under the employment fair, appointment letters will be handed over to about 71 thousand newly appointed personnel. These appointments are being made in various departments of the Central Government as well as in State Governments and Union Territories. According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Prime Minister Modi will also address these newly appointed personnel on the occasion. PMO said in the statement- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute about 71,000 appointment letters to the newly recruited people through video conference at 10.30 am today.

Will be organized at 45 places across the country

This employment fair will be organized today at 45 places across the country. These new personnel selected from across the country will serve on various posts under the Government of India. These new recruitments are in different departments and ministries of the Central Government as well as Gramin Dak Sevak, Postal Inspector, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, in State Governments and Union Territories. Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistant, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspector, Nursing Officer, Assistant Security Officer, Fireman, Assistant Accounts Officer, Divisional Accountant, Auditor, Constable, Head Constable, Assistant Commandant, Principal, Trained graduates will be on the posts of teachers, assistant registrars, assistant professors etc.

A step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment

The PMO said that the employment fair is a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation. The statement said, the job fair will act as a catalyst in employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development. These newly recruited personnel will get an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new recruits in various government departments.

Employment fair started last year

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Rozgar Mela scheme last year. Let us tell you that the first employment fair was organized on October 22, 2022 and in this 75,000 youths were handed over appointment certificates. At the same time, for the second time the employment fair was organized on 22 November 2022, in which about 71,000 appointment letters were handed over. The third version of the employment fair was organized on 20 January 2023 and the fourth version on 13 April 2023. (with language input)
