Now the farmers will have to go to the court to get the amount of compensation received in lieu of land acquisition. The source said that even after three notices were issued by the district administration, the farmers refused to accept the notice.

Farmers demanding more compensation

Farmers are demanding compensation at a higher rate than the fixed rate. Land is being acquired for the construction of four lanes in four Mauzains of Fatuha Zone- Rabia Chak, Bhergama, Jaitia and Vajitpur. In this, application for compensation has not been received from Rabia Chak Mouja. Fewer applications have been received for compensation in Bhergama, Jaitia and Vajitpur. About eight crore rupees have been distributed in this.

Amount deposited due to non-receipt of compensation

In Fatuha zone, 69 acres of land is to be acquired by combining all the four mouzas. Farmers are protesting especially in Rabiachak and Bhergama mouzas regarding the rate. Due to non-submission of applications regarding compensation in Rabiachak, the amount has not been distributed. Around five crore compensation is to be distributed there. About two crores are to be distributed in Bhergama, about two and a half crores in Vajitpur and about 3.50 crores in Jaitiya. The source said that the number of panchayats for land acquisition is about 338 in the four mouzas of Fatuha zone.

Preparing report of government land

There is 2.0426 hectares of non-majrua common land in four mouzas of Fatuha zone. Its transfer has to be done by the CO of Fatuha to the applicant department. Fatuha CO has been asked in this regard. Along with this, the Deputy Collector of Land Reforms has to give a report related to the existence of Ryati/Government land in 39 Khesra of Fatuha circle.

205 acres of land required for the project

The source told that in Aurangabad-Darbhanga four-lane, 205.25 acres of Ryati land will be acquired in total 12 mouzas including Fatuha and Dhanrua zones. In lieu of this, 123.24 crore compensation will be distributed. Land acquisition work is going on in four villages of Fatuha zone and eight villages of Dhanrua zone. The distribution of compensation is going on fast in Dhanrua zone. A lot of applications are being received from the farmers for compensation.
