Patna: The new session will start from September 15 in technical institutes across the country. All India Counseling of Technical Education (AICTE) has released the academic calendar for the academic session 2023-24. All technical colleges including engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture will have to follow the academic calendar. Students taking admission in the first year will have to start their studies from 15th September. Even if any seat remains vacant, the admission will have to be completed by September 15. In the second year course, under the lateral entry category, the last chance to take admission will be till September 15. With this, the last chance for admission in PGDM and PGCM in all standalone institutes is till 15 September. The academic calendar for the academic session has been sent to all technical educational institutions.

Fees will be refunded if you leave the seat by September 11

If a student takes admission and leaves the seat by September 11, then the college management will have to refund the fees of that student. Under this, it is mandatory for the college management to accept other conditions including admission, refund of fees on leaving the seat. If engineering, management students leave their seats by September 11, then the fees will be refunded. In PGDM and PGCM institute too, the college management will have to refund the fees if they leave the seat by September 11. The last chance to get recognition from AICTE for studying courses in these colleges is till June 30.

UGC rules will be applicable for conducting ODL and online courses

Admission to all courses under Open Distance Learning Mode (ODL) and Online Degree Programs (Online) in Technical Colleges will be as per UGC norms. Technical colleges will be recognized and approved by the UGC for running ODL and online degree course programs. Apart from this, the final decision of the last date for admission to these courses in technical colleges will also be under the rules of UGC.
