Hyderabad : Sunrise Hyderabad And Lucknow Supergiants During the match played here on Saturday, the game had to be stopped for some time due to the bad behavior of the spectators after the controversial decision given by the on-field umpires Akshay Totre, J Madangopal and TV umpire Yashwant Barde regarding the no ball. The incident happened in the 19th over of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings when Avesh Khan bowled Abdul Samad like a beamer and Totre called it a no-ball.

Third umpire also did not give no-ball

Sunrisers Hyderabad took DRS after this but the third umpire also called it a legal ball. After the third umpire’s decision, Heinrich Klaasen, who was batting with Samad, spoke to the on-field umpires as television replays and the ‘ball tracker’ showed the ball going over the wicket with the batsman’s waist. The spectators of Hyderabad were annoyed by this and they started creating ruckus.

There was a dispute between Kohli and Gambhir in the last match

In the midst of the incident, Lucknow Supergiants head coach Andy Flower and mentor Gautam Gambhir were seen getting up from the dug-out and walking towards the boundary line along with other team members. After this Darshan started raising slogans of Kohli-Kohli. Let us tell you that there was a heated argument between Gambhir and Kohli in the last match between RCB and Lucknow, after which the BCCI fined both of them 100 per cent match fee.

The audience teased Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir was pointing towards the crowd, it seemed that someone in the crowd had thrown something. Along with this, the audience was chanting ‘Kohli-Kohli’. He was probably trying to tease Gambhir, who some time ago had a spat with former India captain Virat Kohli. The interruption distracted Klaasen’s attention and he was dismissed as soon as the match resumed.

After his innings, he spoke to the broadcasters and expressed his dismay at the behavior of the spectators as well as the decision of the umpires. He said that to be honest, the audience was disappointed. You don’t want that. This upset my rhythm. Umpiring was also not good. After this statement of Klaasen, he has been fined 10 percent of the match fee. The IPL said in a statement that Klaasen had accepted a ‘Level 1’ offense under Article 2.7. This offense pertains to the use of public criticism/inappropriate remarks in the IPL Code of Conduct.
