Under the Land Disputes Redressal Act 2009 (BLDRA), this facility was inaugurated on Saturday by Revenue and Land Reforms Department Minister Alok Kumar Mehta during a program. The program was organized by the Directorate of Land Records and Measurement at the Revenue (Survey) Training Institute located in Shastri Nagar, Patna.

After the launch, Minister Alok Kumar Mehta while addressing the monthly meeting of Land Reform Deputy Collectors directed to deal strictly with the land mafia. Rights to DCLR under BLDRA

Under the Land Disputes Redressal Act 2009 (BLDRA), land reform sub-collectors have been given the right to decide the ownership of land (title decide) to resolve minor disputes of ryati land. In this, the decision has to be given within 90 days from the filing of the case. Also, there is a provision to appeal against the passed order to the Divisional Commissioner within 30 days.
