Karnataka Elections 2023: Will work as a responsible opposition: Basavaraj Bommai

New Delhi, May 13 (Hindustan Times). Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai accepted defeat in view of the upcoming assembly election results. He said that now the Bharatiya Janata Party will work as a responsible opposition in the assembly.

Basavaraj Bommai said on Saturday that the BJP will now work as a responsible opposition in the assembly. Along with this, he has spoken of returning in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the year 2024.

Reacting to the election results, Bommai said that the BJP failed to make an impact in the Karnataka assembly elections. We will reorganize the party and make a strong comeback in the Lok Sabha elections. At present, in the results of the Karnataka assembly elections, the Congress is seen winning 138 seats and the BJP 62. Full results are likely to come by late evening.
