Patna. The Health Department has issued the notification of Bihar Epidemic Diseases Covid-19 Rules 2023 on Thursday regarding effective control over Bihar Epidemic Covid-19. In the new rules, the responsibility of all the hospitals from the state level to the district level has been fixed for its control.

In the manual prepared by the Health Department, it has been said that after the outbreak of Covid in Bihar, the general legal provisions were made effective from time to time for effective control. These laws are insufficient. In view of the Central Epidemic Diseases Act 1887, the state had issued the Covid 19 Regulation 2019. Even after this it was felt that special provision is needed for effective control of Corona. Regarding this, Bihar Epidemic Disease Covid 19 Regulation 2023 is being notified. This rule will be effective for one year.
These people were made authorized officials
In this manual, the Director General (Disease Control) has been declared as the authorized officer at the state level. District Magistrate, Civil Surgeon and ACMO have been made authorized officers at the district level. Similarly, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Medical Officer-in-Charge have been made accountable at the subdivision level and block level.
All flu patients will be screened for covid
All the hospitals, including government and private ones, have been given the responsibility that all flu patients will be screened for Covid. The test report of the screening and its travel history have to be kept safe. There will be no false propaganda regarding Covid in any print or electronic media. Private labs have also been authorized for Covid testing.
There is also a provision for punishment in the new rules.
Provision has been made in the new rules that if a Covid infected person refuses to be admitted or isolated, then the designated officer has been given the power to strictly keep that patient admitted to the hospital for 10 days or isolated. Go In the rules, the District Magistrate has been given the power that he can seal any area so that there is no external traffic there. There is also a provision for punishment in the new rules.
