Qatar Chamber holds its General Assembly today

The Qatar Chamber will hold its General Assembly meeting chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, today, Wednesday, at the Chamber’s headquarters.
The meeting’s agenda includes hearing the report of the Board of Directors on the activity and business of the Chamber and its financial position for the year ending December 31, 2022, hearing the auditor’s report on the Chamber’s budget and final accounts, and the statement of revenues and expenses for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2022, and approving it, exonerating the members of the Board of Directors, Discussing and approving the estimated budget for the fiscal year 2023, appointing a legal auditor for the fiscal year 2023 and determining his fees, and electing members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors for the seventh session 2023.
The Chamber said in a press statement that in the event that the quorum is not complete in this meeting, the second meeting will be held on Sunday, corresponding to May 28, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and the meeting will be valid regardless of the number of attendees, noting that those who are entitled to attend the General Assembly meeting and elect members The Board of Directors are the members who pay the subscription fees for the year 2023 until May 10, 2023.
The statement indicated that registration to attend the meeting will begin three hours before the specified date, and the members of the General Assembly must attend, bringing with them a copy of the commercial register and proof of identity. It is also permissible for the member to attend as an official or as a proxy, and in the event that the member attends as an agent, it is required that he be one of the members of the Chamber, provided that the proxy is certified by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and approved by the Chairman of the Elections Committee,
