A new innovation by Shivam Maurya, a B.Tech third year student from Surat, will prove to be a boon for differently-abled people who depend on others despite having a wheel chair. The attachment made by Shivam will convert an ordinary wheel chair into an electric wheel chair in just 30 seconds. Due to which the disabled person can go to any corner of the city on his own without any help.

Despite having resources, a disabled person remains dependent on others.

Most of the disabled people have a wheel chair but they need someone to help them if they have to walk long distances. In such a situation, despite having resources, the disabled person remains dependent on others. Shivam Maurya, a B.Tech student in Surat, got the idea of making this attachment after seeing such a disabled person helpless at home.

Battery powers front wheel motor, made an attachment using a simple mechanism

Shivam, 22, has developed a battery-powered attachment using a very simple mechanism. Since it does not have an engine, there is no pollution either. By attaching this attachment to a normal wheel chair, it converts into an electric wheel chair in just 30 seconds. For this, the disabled person does not even need to change his wheel chair, as attachments can be attached to it. This attachment has an accelerator. When someone presses the accelerator, the power goes to the battery and the motor in the front wheel picks up speed.

This attachment attaches to the wheel chair within 30 seconds

In this regard, Shivam Maurya, who lives in Pandesara area, said that we have not designed any new wheel chair. We have developed an attachment, we have designed this special electric powered wheel chair for those people who are using wheel chairs. We have developed an attachment that, by attaching it to the front of the wheelchair, converts it from a normal wheelchair to an electric wheelchair in just 30 seconds. A Divyang person would be able to walk long distances without any help.

There is a disabled member in the family

He further said that there are Divyang people in my family too. When I met him, I realized that when one part of the body is not there, it becomes dependent on the other. I am pained to see their trouble and have prepared this attachment.
