The total number of visitors to Qatar jumped by 183.5 percent last March, to about 433 thousand visitors, on an annual basis, compared to the same month last year, while it increased at a monthly rate of 11.3 percent, compared to February 2023.
Qatar Bulletin “Monthly Statistics”, in its new issue issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority today, stated that the largest number of visitors came from the GCC countries by 38 percent. As for visitors by type of port, visitors by air constituted the highest percentage, with 47 percent. percent of the total number of visitors.
Among the most prominent changes that the bulletin monitored during the month of March, was the increase in the value of the broad money supply (2) to about 705 billion riyals, recording an annual increase of 11.3 percent, compared to March 2022, while the value of quasi-money, which includes deposits of commercial banks, amounted to About 967 billion riyals during the month of March 2023, recording an annual decrease of 0.02 percent, compared to March 2022, when the total deposits at that time were about 968 billion riyals.
With regard to vital statistics, the total number of live births reached 2,139 during the month of March 2023, and the total number of Qatari live births decreased by 5.1 percent compared to last month, while the total number of deaths reached 233 deaths, an increase of 9.4 percent compared to February. 2023.
March 2023 witnessed a monthly increase of 18.4 percent and 36.8 percent in the total number of marriage contracts and the total divorce certificates, respectively, as the total number of marriage contracts reached 367 marriage contracts, while the total number of divorce certificates reached 145 divorce cases.
As for social security data, it amounted to 77 million riyals last March for 14,323 beneficiaries, recording a monthly increase of 0.2 percent for the value of social security. It also witnessed a monthly increase of 0.6 percent for the number of beneficiaries from social security.
With regard to the data of building permits issued, the total number of them reached 666 permits during the month of March 2023, recording a monthly increase of 3.4 percent, and an annual decrease of 32.6 percent, while the total value of real estate sold during March 2023 decreased by 39.4 percent compared to February. 2023.
With regard to new registered vehicles, the bulletin indicated that the total number of registered vehicles during the month of March 2023 amounted to 7,091 new vehicles, recording a monthly increase of 21 percent, and an annual decrease of 18.8 percent.
As for data related to traffic accident cases without counting accidents without injuries, their total number reached 806 during the month of March, recording a monthly increase of 20.7 percent, and an annual decrease of 0.5 percent. Light injuries recorded the vast majority of traffic accident cases during the same month, with a rate of 93 percent, followed by severe injuries at 5 percent. As for deaths, they amounted to 17 deaths, equivalent to only 2 percent of the total traffic accident cases.
