Trial started for water supply in 153 villages of Hamirpur

Hamirpur, May 01 (Hindustan Times). Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, trial has now been started for water supply in 153 villages of Hamirpur district. Happiness is being seen in the villagers as soon as the water reaches the villages.

Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange Rajesh Kumar Yadav told on Monday evening that the work of two big projects under Jal Jeevan Mission is in the final stage. These days work is going on fast in Patyora Danda village group and Harolipur village group. In projects worth several hundred crores, water treatment plants are now ready. Trial has been done to get water supply from the project in 153 villages in the district. It was informed that drinking water supply has been fully started in 92 villages. In the rest where water is not reaching, it is being rectified.

The ADM said that under the project, drinking water is being provided to the villagers by supplying water through 2468.489 km distribution system with two intake bulls, two WTPs, 16 CWRs, 176 inferior reservoirs. Told that water connections have been given to 1.11 lakh houses. This project will quench the thirst of 6.44 lakh people of 355 revenue villages. It was told that CC roads and roads of 143 villages, which were dug for laying pipelines in the project, have also been made. At the same time, the work of making CC roads in 65 villages is being done.
