18 tourists killed, 33 injured including 11 children as bus falls into gorge in Mexico

Mexico City, May 1 (HS). In a major road accident in Mexico, a bus fell into a ditch. 18 tourists traveling in the bus were killed and 33 people, including 11 children, were injured in the accident.

According to information, a bus from Guadalajara in the Mexican state of Jalisco was going to Guayabitos carrying tourists. According to civil protection official Pedro Nunez, the bus had to travel 220 kilometers. Meanwhile, on the beach of Guayabitos, the bus suddenly veered off the road and fell into a ditch. The bus was on its way to a beach resort area. Nunez said all the passengers on the crashed tourist bus were Mexican citizens. However, the cause of the accident is not yet known.

Immediately after receiving information about the accident, emergency personnel rushed to the spot and started relief and rescue operations, officials said. At the same time, work is being done with the federal and provincial authorities to send the injured to the hospital immediately. Some of the injured have also been sent to the hospital by helicopter ambulance.

Eleven women and seven men have died in the accident. 33 people were injured in the accident, including 11 children. The injured children have been admitted to hospitals in critical condition.
