Rewa, 24 April (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that since 2014, the country has taken up the task of empowering its Panchayats and its results are visible today. Today the panchayats of India are emerging as the lifeblood of the development of the villages. With the launch of the e-Gram Swaraj-GEM integrated portal today, the process of procurement through panchayats will become simple and transparent. In this era of digital revolution, Panchayats are also being made smart.

Prime Minister Modi was addressing the National Panchayati Raj Day function organized in Rewa on Monday. He launched the integrated portal of e-GEM and e-Gram Swaraj at the function. Along with this, the portal of inclusive development was also launched. The Prime Minister flagged off three new trains at the ceremony. He also launched new rail projects worth Rs 2300 crore. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated five tap-water schemes worth Rs 7853 crore. He virtually performed house warming ceremony in four lakh 11 thousand rural houses of the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Modi Swamitva Yojana, one crore 25 lakh beneficiaries of the country were given proprietary property cards.

Addressing the function, the Prime Minister said that Panchayati Raj institutions fulfill the development aspirations of our citizens along with promoting the spirit of democracy. Best wishes to more than 2.5 lakh panchayats of the country on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day. He said that we are the representatives of all the people. We are all dedicated to this democracy, to this country. The scope of work may be different, but the goal is the same, service to the nation through public service. In this nectar of freedom, we all countrymen have dreamed of a developed India and are working day and night to fulfill it.

He said that earlier governments discriminated against Panchayats, now on the contrary, we are empowering them. Before 2014, the Finance Commission’s grant for Panchayats was less than 70 thousand crores. With such a small amount, such a big country, how could so many panchayats be able to do their work. After the coming of our government in 2014, this grant received by the panchayats has been increased from 70 thousand to more than two lakh crore rupees. In the 10 years before 2014, around 6,000 panchayat buildings were built with the help of the central government. Our government has constructed more than 30 thousand new buildings within 8 years.

The Prime Minister said that respected Bapu used to say that the soul of India resides in the villages, but the Congress ignored Gandhi’s views as well. In the 90s, food supply was done in the name of Panchayati Raj, but did not pay attention. Since 2014, the country has taken up the task of empowering its panchayats. Today its results are visible. There has been a lot of confusion in our village regarding the property papers of the houses. Due to this, there are various disputes, there is a possibility of illegal possession. Now all these situations are changing with the PM Swamitva Yojana.

He said that when the villages of the country have got the power of banks, the people of the villages are being helped in everything from farming to business. We opened bank accounts of more than 40 crore people of the village by running the Jan Dhan Yojana. We increased the reach of banks to villages through India Post Payment Bank.

The Prime Minister said that every panchayat, every institution, every representative, every citizen of the country will have to unite for a developed India. This is possible only when every basic facility reaches 100% beneficiaries expeditiously, without any discrimination. There is also a need to start an awareness campaign by the Panchayats about the new arrangements related to agriculture. Today, work is going on on a very wide scale in the country regarding natural farming. I urge that our Panchayats should run a public awareness campaign regarding natural farming.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the country and the state have changed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that today Prime Minister Modi is also giving rail connectivity to Vindhya. From Rewa to Nagpur you will be directly connected. Not only rail connectivity, we are getting the gift of a new airport. He said that once upon a time only the foundation stones of projects like Ban Sagar Dam were laid, which were never completed, but it is under the leadership of the Prime Minister that 3.25 lakh acres of land is being irrigated in Rewa district alone and also in Satna and Sidhi districts. Is.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi had given the mantra to double the income of the farmers. In Rewa district itself, wheat production has increased four and a half times, paddy production five and a half times, mustard production has increased up to 35 times. What he had said happened on the land of Madhya Pradesh. Farmers’ income has more than doubled. Today there are four wheelers in every village, we are moving forward in the field of agriculture. A miracle of 750 MW power generation has happened in Rewa. He said that the Prime Minister gave 40 lakh houses to the rural areas and 10 lakh houses to the urban areas. We are rapidly completing the construction work of the house. Today Griha Pravesham is held in 4 lakh 11 thousand houses.
