The Shaheed Smarak being constructed at Ambala Cantonment in Haryana will be one of its kind in the country, in which the contribution of Haryana in the freedom movement will be attractively displayed so that the youth can take inspiration from the lives and valor of the martyrs. This monument will have a unique confluence of technology and history.

The construction of the Martyr’s Memorial is in the final stage and in order to display the information of history in an interesting way, a meeting was held with historians, members of the Shaheed Smarak Nirman Samiti, at Haryana Bhawan, Delhi on Monday, which was presided over by Additional Principal Secretary and Information to the Chief Minister. Director General of Public Relations and Languages ​​Department, Dr. Amit Agarwal did it.

It was told in the meeting that in the next 15 days, the detailed plan of the memorial should be shared with all the members of the committee regarding which material related to history is to be displayed on which wall and in what size in each room built in this martyr’s memorial. Will be asked A final decision will be taken in this regard after everyone’s suggestions are received.

Dr. Amit Agarwal said that apart from installing photo panels in this memorial, with the help of light and sound, efforts will be made to display the glorious journey from the freedom movement to today’s modern Haryana. In this, from the first freedom struggle of 1857 to the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s INA in the freedom struggle and how the people of Haryana endured the tortures of the then British government, there will be a pictorial display with a brief description of all these.

Aggarwal said that the visitors coming to the memorial would get to know the rich history of Haryana and it would become a center of ‘destination visit’ in a way. He said that a lot of the construction work of this monument has been completed and in the next one and a half months the final decision on the material to be displayed in the monument will be taken and the work will be allotted to the concerned agency. He hoped that by October this memorial would be completely ready and it would be inaugurated and opened to the general public.

Committee member and Indian Council of Historical Research Prof. Raghvendra Tanwar said during this time that this monument will be unique of its kind in the whole country because of its large size and inclusion of facts related to history. It has also been decided in the meeting that all the members should visit the museum based on the first war of 1857 built in the Red Fort and the museum prepared by the Records Department so that if there is any deficiency in them, it can be replaced in the memorial of Ambala Cantonment. be completed in
