Prime Minister will participate in National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Rewa on Monday

New Delhi, 23 April (Hindustan Times). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Rewa on Monday and will address all Gram Sabhas and Panchayati Raj Institutions across the country.

During the event, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the integrated e-Gram Swaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the panchayat level. e-Gram Swaraj – Government e-Marketplace Integration aims to enable Panchayats to market their goods and services through GeM by leveraging the e-Gram Swaraj platform.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a program organized on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day on April 24 at around 11.30 am in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth about Rs 17,000 crore.

With a view to enhance people’s participation in ensuring full benefits of the Government’s schemes, the Prime Minister will launch a campaign called “Vikas Ki Aur Sajhe Kadam”. The theme of the campaign will be inclusive growth, with focus on extending the benefits of the schemes to the last mile.

The Prime Minister will hand over around 35 lakh Swadamitva property cards to the beneficiaries. After the program, about 1.25 crore property cards would have been distributed under the SVAMITVA scheme in the country. This also includes the cards distributed here. Taking a step towards fulfilling the vision of ‘Housing for All’, the Prime Minister will participate in the Griha Pravesh program of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana-Gramin.

Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various rail projects worth about Rs 2300 crore. The projects to be dedicated include 100 per cent rail electrification as well as doubling and electrification projects in Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Gwalior station. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 7,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
