Budget session begins in Maharashtra, announcement to organize 600 job fairs

The budget of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has started. On the first day, the session started with the address of Governor Ramesh Bais. In which the plans of the Union Government for the development of the state and the assistance being received from the Central Government were discussed. Whereas, the Thackeray faction was on the offensive over the whip issued by the Shiv Sena ahead of the session, calling it contrary to the Supreme Court’s order.

The Shinde Fadnavis government is in its third term in the state. During this period, the work done by the state government and the presentation of beneficial schemes were heard in the Governor’s address.

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais informed the state legislature that the state government will organize 600 job fairs during the financial year 2022-23. The budget of the State Legislature began with the joint address of the Governor to both the Houses.

Bais in his address said that MoU has been signed with 45 companies to generate 1.25 lakh jobs. 24 project proposals have been approved, which will lead to an investment of Rs 87,774 crore and generate 61,000 jobs.

The state government signed MoUs with 19 companies for investment worth Rs 1.37 lakh crore at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos last month. My Government has successfully organized training for 4.85 lakh youth and 2.81 lakh farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The state government has doubled the pension of freedom fighters and their spouses from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per month.

Bharat Gogavale, Chief Pratod of Shiv Sena, informed before the commencement of the session that he has issued a whip on attendance in the House. But action will not be taken. On this Thackeray group MLA Sunil Prabhu replied that we have not received that whip yet. He had promised not to issue whip in the court. If any action is taken on such whip, we are ready to challenge it in the court. Meanwhile, senior MLA of Thackeray group Bhaskar Jadhav has said that we will not even give alms to that whip.
