For the first time in four months in Britain, the rate of inflation has increased in February. Inflation has increased due to increase in food and energy prices.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose to 10.4 percent in February from 10.1 percent in the previous month, the National Statistics Office said on Wednesday.

Analysts are surprised by the latest figures. He predicted that inflation would come down to 9.9 per cent. Rising inflation has also increased the pressure on the Bank of England to raise interest rates. The bank can take a decision in this regard in the meeting to be held on Thursday.

Inflation in food articles rose to 18 per cent in February from 16.7 per cent in the previous month. However, economists believe that there will be a sharp decline in prices by the end of the year.

The Bank of England estimates that inflation will decline to 2.9 percent by the end of this year.
