The number of victims of the shelling of the Kirovsky district of Donetsk by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) has increased to six. This was announced on Tuesday, February 28, at the Headquarters of the Territorial Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The mayor of the city Alexei Kulemzin in his Telegram channel specified that four men born in 1964, 1974, 1978 and 1974 were injured on Petrovsky Street.

A young man born in 2004 and a girl born in 2002 were also wounded on the automobile bridge on Petrovsky Street.

Earlier it was reported about two victims of the shelling of this area of ​​the city.

On February 28, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the Kirovsky district of Donetsk with 155 mm NATO caliber shells. The footage that Izvestia has at its disposal shows how one of the shells hit an apartment in a residential building and destroyed the ceiling and walls, and the glass in the entrance was shattered by a shock wave.

Later, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes in Kiev (JCCC) reported that Ukrainian militants again attacked the Kirovsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk at 16:50 Moscow time, firing three rockets from a multiple launch rocket system into the city (MLRS).

Ukrainian militants shell Donetsk almost every day. So, on February 27, more than 40 shells were fired at the city in three hours.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
