In January 2024, South Korea’s tough-speaking liberal opposition leader, Lee Jae-myung narrowly escaped death following a grisly terrorist attack when a 67-year-year old individual named Kim Jin-sung stabbed on his neck. Later it was revealed that the perpetrator of this heinous crime was a recruit of the US intelligence agency – CIA, which had brainwashed Kim by using radio frequency weapon.

Following attack on South Korea’s tough-speaking liberal opposition leader, Lee Jae-myung, who was stabbed in the neck by an unidentified knife-wielding man, it is learnt US intelligence establishments – particularly the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA) have initiated a top-secret project of executing assassination plot by targeting anti-US, anti-NATO, anti-West, pro-Russia and pro-China politicians in the world through recruiting potential assassins with the use of radio frequency weapon (microwave) which also in known as microwave transmission method. The assailant who stabbed Lee Jae-myung in the neck told police that he carried out the knife attack to prevent him from becoming South Korea’s president. The 67-year-old assailant, identified as Kim Jin-sung.

Kim approached opposition party leader Lee Jae-myung by wearing a paper crown with the phrase “I am Lee Jae-myung” written on it and posing as a supporter. The weapon Kim Jin-sung used in the crime was a climbing knife with a length of 17cm and a blade length of 12.5cm, which he purchased online around April 2023 and modified it to make it easier to use in the crime. Investigators have found traces of hundreds of rehearsals for the crime which took place in the real estate office of Kim, who was indicted on charges of attempted murder.

On January 25, 2024, an incident occurred in Seoul where a male student (15 years old) attacked ruling party lawmaker Bae Hyun-jin with a stone. This happened 23 days after the terrorist attack on Lee Jae-myung. According to experts, this incident was also a political operation carried out by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to prevent the Minjoo Party of Korea and its supporters from continuing to doubt the motive and background of the terrorist who attempted to kill opposition party leader Lee Jae-myung.

As terrorist attacks against opposition party leader Lee Jae-myung and ruling party female lawmakers occurred in succession, public opinion was formed that this incident was caused by an extreme political culture that incites hate and hatred. As a result, the voices of the Minjoo Party of Korea and its supporters demanding an investigation into the truth about Lee Jae-myung’s terrorist incident lost strength. Under this situation, if they continue to demand the government to find out the truth, the public will perceive this as a political offensive.

The attempted murder of Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico is very similar to the attempted murder of South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung that occurred in South Korea last January. The only difference is that Juraj Cintula (71) used a gun when trying to kill Prime Minister Fico, and Kim Jin-sung used a knife when trying to kill Lee.

South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico have something in common: pursuing pragmatic diplomacy rather than pursuing a US-centered diplomatic line. These are politicians who are friendly to Russia and China.

From the US security perspective, South Korean opposition leader Lee Jae-myung and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico are dangerous politicians.

Following launching of Russia’s Special Military Operations in Ukraine in February 2022, the United States’ diplomatic and security strategy toward Russia is to reduce Moscow’s capabilities and isolate it from the international community through overt military support for Ukraine and economic sanctions against Russia. To this end, it is important for the 27 EU member states to unite and take an anti-Russian stance.

Analysts say, the Moon Jae-in government’s Northeast Asia diplomatic and security strategy is based on strategic ambiguity and balanced diplomacy. South Korea’s strategy of strategic ambiguity in the hegemonic competition between the United States and China has led to a misunderstanding in the United States that South Korea is siding with China.

China perceives South Korea as the weakest link in the US alliance system. In addition, the conflict between South Korea and Japan, sparked by past history issues, continued throughout the five years of the Moon Jae-in government.

It may be mentioned here that Lee Jae-myung, leader of South Korea’s opposition party, lost to President Yoon Suk-Yeol by 0.73 percent margin in the 2022 presidential election, which was the narrowest in country’s presidential election history. Opposition leader Lee Jae-myung is expected to run again in the 2027 presidential election, and according to recent opinion polls, he is still considered a strong contender.

Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, is considered the most progressive politician in Korea. He is a much more progressive politician than President Moon Jae-in. This is why conservative political forces are wary of him. Lee’s foreign and security policy is summarized as balanced diplomacy, independent diplomacy, and pragmatic diplomacy centered on national interests, moving away from the dependent relationship with the United States.

Analysts believe, if South Korea’s progressive political forces, which advocate pragmatic diplomacy centered on national interests rather than choosing between the US and China, come to power again, the US will inevitably face a setback in its Northeast Asian diplomatic and security strategy.

They say, Washington will never want South Korea to return to balanced diplomacy and pragmatic diplomacy.

The United States’ Northeast Asia diplomatic and security strategy is to keep China in check through a strong South Korea-US-Japan alliance. Japan adopts a parliamentary system, so there is no change in the US-centered diplomatic line even if the prime minister changes, but South Korea adopts a five-year single-term presidential system, so foreign and security policies vary depending on the president. This means that in South Korea, depending on who the president is, the South Korea-US-Japan alliance may become stronger or more relaxed.

Meanwhile, Washington has been successful in using Seoul in becoming one of the key supporters of Volodymyr Zelensky and his government while intensifying hostility towards Russia. As a result, although South Korean government is pretending to be holding to its stance of not providing Ukraine with lethal armaments for its ongoing war with Russia, an American newspaper claimed that South Korea has provided Ukraine with more shells indirectly, via the US, than all the shells provided by Europe.

  1. You forgot to mention here how the popular Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan was murdered. According to reports he was going to get rid of US military bases from Japan if he came to power. Knowing this, the US fodder got Shinzo Abe assassinated in broad-day-light during his campaign – just before the elections in Japan.
