Its current president, Pamela Shifman, formerly served as Program Coordinator for the Open Society Institute’s Network Women’s Program, which is part of Soros’s broader network.
Shifman’s predecessor, Gara LaMarche, was previously Vice President and Director of US Programs for Soros’s Open Society Foundations.
Kamala Harris is a regular attendee at annual events organized by the Democracy Alliance. During the 2017 summit, Harris was notably absent, delivering her 2021 remarks to the organization via pre-recorded video because she had other Soros-related duties, including attending the Paris Peace Forum, which was sponsored by Open Society Foundations as a “strategic partner”.
The Washington Free Beacon reported, “Amazingly, Harris – the sitting Vice President of the United States – had to pre-record a speech for a Soros political front group because she was obliged to attend a Soros international conference instead”.
Just hours before former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt, and eight days before President Joe Biden was forced to announce on July 21 that he was ending his re-election campaign, NBC News published a feature article laying the groundwork for a silent coup to remove Biden from the race and elevate Kamala Harris.
NBC News’s feature report, titled “Liberal Groups Find Kamala Harris Polls Well with Some Groups as Biden Struggles”, highlighted the Democracy Alliance’s efforts to promote Harris. Pamela Shifman, president of Democracy Alliance, echoed the sentiment of supporting Harris as Biden’s decline became apparent. “We will always continue lifting up the leadership of our Vice President Kamala Harris”, she said in a statement. “Next week, Republicans’ racist and sexist attacks on our vice president will grow at the GOP convention, and it’s all of our jobs to help push back”.
The New York Times published an article on July 11 titled, “The Embattled Biden Campaign Tests Kamala Harris’s Strength vs. Trump”.
In 2018, The Sacramento Bee noted that then-Senator Kamala Harris was collaborating with George Soros to elect radical progressive district attorneys in California. The paper wrote, “Sen. Kamala Harris and billionaire philanthropist and hedge fund manager George Soros appear to be aligned politically in the Sacramento County district attorney’s race”.
In 2014, The Los Angeles Times detailed how two former staffers of Kamala Harris worked with Soros to implement his controversial “criminal justice reform” agenda.
Jill Habig, a recipient of a “Leadership in Government Fellowship Grant” from the Open Society Foundations in 2018, has a biography at the University of California, Berkeley Law School that reads, “Before founding PRP, Jill was the Deputy Campaign Manager and Policy Director for Kamala Harris for US Senate and served as policy director for her transition team.
“Prior to joining the campaign, she served as Special Counsel to then-Attorney General [Kamala] Harris, advising the Attorney General on key legal issues and policy initiatives. Her work emphasized consumer fraud, health, education, human trafficking, and civil rights, including issues related to gender and LGBT rights”.
Just weeks before her ill-fated run for the Democratic presidential nomination in December 2019, Kamala Harris made a peculiar trip, which was seen as fulfilling an obligation to Soros and the Democracy Alliance. During a speech at the US Embassy in London, Harris stated, “When a woman is threatened by an abusive partner with explicit, deepfake photographs, is that not existential for her? When a young father is wrongfully imprisoned because of biased AI facial recognition, is that not existential for his family?”
This rhetoric mirrors that of a Soros-funded venture known as the Trust, Accountability, and Inclusion Collaborative. “TAI donors work together with partners around the globe to strengthen trust, accountability, and inclusion through participatory approaches”, the group states on its website.
In an X post, TAI mentioned Open Society Foundations as one of the organizations eager to work with Harris on AI “inclusion”.
The Ford Foundation, a close Soros ally and another TAI member, issued a news release in November 2023 specifically endorsing Harris’s DEI AI agenda. The statement read, “Today, a group of ten leading philanthropies announced a bold new initiative to ensure that AI advances the public interest in the areas of need identified today by Vice President Kamala Harris. Participating foundations are committed to leveraging and aligning grantmaking towards progress on these urgent issues”.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has been frequently meeting with Alexander Soros, the heir to the Soros empire, further solidifying her allegiance to this powerful nexus. What does this mean?
