In a recent report, it’s been noted that a new book contains a quote from President Joe Biden that apparently displeased First Lady Jill Biden. The exclusive excerpt from the upcoming book “American Women: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden”, acquired by Daily Mail, suggests that Biden may have sparked a negative response from his spouse by supposedly revealing a daring explanation for the longevity of their 47-year marriage to aides.

According to author and New York Times White House correspondent Katie Rogers, as reported by Daily Mail, Biden shared marital advice with aides, which apparently didn’t sit well with his wife. This isn’t the first instance where the president has shared intimate details about his relationship with the first lady. Back in 2006, when asked about running for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, Biden openly discussed his enjoyment of “making love” with Jill. At a leadership PAC event organized to support him in June 2006, Biden reportedly stated, “I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep”, as reported by The Hill at the time.

Following his bid for the nomination, Biden ultimately lost to then-Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and later served as Obama’s vice president.

Meanwhile, in a separate new book, it’s revealed that Jill Biden questioned senior aides about their failure to intervene during a nearly two-hour press conference in January 2022. New York Times reporter Katie Rogers, in “American Woman”, detailed Jill Biden’s reaction, indicating that her expression during the conference made it clear to everyone present, including the president, that they had some explaining to do. This information was obtained by Axios, which acquired a copy of the book.

“Why didn’t anyone stop that?” questioned the first lady, known for her protective stance toward the president. According to the new book, Jill Biden directly asked, “Where were you guys? Where was the person who was going to end the press conference?” In her book, Rogers discloses that Jill confronted President Biden and his aides after the Jan. 19, 2022, news conference marking his first year in office. Throughout the nearly two-hour session, Biden addressed numerous topics, but at times, he stumbled over facts and notably reacted strongly to a reporter referencing his remarks likening political adversaries to segregationists, as reported by Fox News.

In the excerpt reported by Axios, Rogers vividly describes the First Lady’s reaction to the news conference: “She had watched the news conference, and the look on her face told everyone in the room-from the president on down-that they had some explaining to do.” Jill Biden’s direct question, “‘Why didn’t anyone stop that?’ she demanded”, reflects her frustration and concern. Rogers further noted that the First Lady’s hostile reaction even silenced her husband, indicating the intensity of her emotions in that moment.

Rogers elaborates on the scene, describing how everyone in the room, including the most powerful man in the world, remained silent, exchanging glances with one another and then with the First Lady. Despite aides slipping him a card suggesting he end the press conference, her husband essentially went along with the silence, offering no response.

This revelation coincides with Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, which followed an investigation into Joe Biden’s mishandling of classified information. Hur’s 388-page report, which took the White House by surprise and caused shockwaves through the administration, detailed Biden’s deteriorating mental acuity. It documented instances of memory loss dating back nearly a decade, raising concerns that put him in 25th Amendment territory. This was a significant factor in Hur’s decision not to pursue charges against Biden.

In his explanation for declining prosecution, Hur outlined that Joe Biden is likely to present himself to the jury, as he did during his interview with their office, as a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly individual with a poor memory. Hur expressed the challenge of persuading a jury to convict someone, especially a former president well into his eighties, of a serious felony requiring a mental state of willfulness.

The report further stated, “Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen”, It highlighted Biden’s difficulty in recalling the years he served as vice president and the year his son, Beau, passed away due to brain cancer.
