The NCW tweeted that the public policy head of Twitter India has been asked in a formal instruction to remove the video in which two women are seen being paraded in the nude. This video exposes the identity of the victims and comes under the category of a punishable offence.

The whole country is in anger after the incident of two women being paraded naked in a village in Manipur in the month of May. People are demanding the harshest punishment for the accused. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that 140 crore countrymen are being embarrassed by this incident. At the same time, the Supreme Court has called it “completely unacceptable”. PM Modi said that the incident in Manipur is shameful for any civilized society and the culprits of this cruel incident will not be spared.

Meanwhile, the Manipur Police has arrested one of the main accused in the video of the May 4 incident of two tribal women being paraded naked and molested by a mob in a village in Senapati district. State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that he would ensure strict action against all the accused and would try to get the death penalty. Soon after the 26-second video of the incident surfaced on Wednesday, several police teams were formed and the person said to be the alleged main conspirator was nabbed from Thoubal district.
