Surat: The Chamber of Commerce will organize a grand exhibition ‘Yarn Expo-2023’ in the first week of August.

‘Yarn Expo-2023’ as the second exhibition for the year 2023-2024 under the series of exhibitions organized by South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and South Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industry Development Center will be held during next 4th, 5th and 6th August, 2023 at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana.

Chamber of Commerce President Ramesh Vaghasia said that this exhibition is being organized by the Chamber of Commerce with an aim to speed up the development of Surat’s textile industry and industrialists can get information about the latest technology in relation to yarn production. The exhibition will be held in an area of ​​about 1 lakh 16 thousand square feet, in which more than 80 exhibitors will participate. Apart from Surat, exhibitors from Ahmedabad, Valsad, Silvassa, Meerut, Mumbai, Salem, Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Hooghly, Hyderabad and Secunderabad will be participating in the exhibition.

He said that this year the fifth edition of Yarn Expo will be introduced which will bring yarn manufacturers from across the country on one platform and will feature all types of yarns like polyester, nylon, viscose, cotton and cationic fibers as well as specialty varieties. Antibacterial yarn, silk imitation yarn, granite yarn and recycled yarn etc. will be on display.

The yarn exhibition will have genuine buyers and visitors from various states and cities across the country like Erode, Ichalkaranji, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, Haryana, Hyderabad, Panipat, Varanasi, Warangal, Ludhiana, Indore, Amravati, Bangalore etc. Weavers, knitters, industry leaders and entrepreneurs will visit the exhibition. Manufacturers and buyers of different yarns will gather on one platform under one roof, business meetings will also be organized between them.

He further said that the exhibitors will display products like cotton, polyester, wool, silk, linen, viscose, ramie and spandex etc. in this exhibition which will show the change and evolution in natural and man-made fabrics. Apart from this, various specialty fibers like elastic, metallic, embroidered, textured, slub, dope dyed spun, low torque and fancy blends will also be seen. Representatives of the business world of South Gujarat will be present in this exhibition. The exhibition is expected to attract over 20,000 buyers and visitors.
