Jignesh Soni, convicted in Pradeep Don murder case, arrested in cricket-dabba trading

Ahmedabad, 19 July (Hindustan Times). State Monitoring Cell (SMC) has arrested 3 people by raiding cricket betting and stock market dabba trading. It was told that the accused Jignesh Soni was running this satta-dabba trading.

Soni has spent 10 years in jail in the murder case of infamous don Pradeep Don in Khadia, Ahmedabad and has been released from jail only two years ago. After this, he was involved in building a network of satta and dabba trading in association with bookies in Dubai. Jignesh’s dominance is also said in Sabarmati Jail. During the SMC raid, CCTV and biometric gates were found inside and outside the office of Jignesh Soni.

According to the information, the State Monitoring Cell team raided the PNTC building in Anandnagar area and caught Jignesh Soni, Khaitan Patel, Harshal Soni, who were doing betting and dabba trading. 1.71 lakh rupees including 8 mobiles, 3 laptops, a diary, a writing pad were seized from these three. During interrogation of these three, it was found that cricket betting was being done on the ID of Radhe Exchange. This ID was created by Eric Shah, Raj Patel sitting in Dubai and Tommy Unjha, currently hiding in Dubai.

Whereas share dabba trading was done from a server named Aerobicrus. This server was created by Eric Shah, Ajit Khatri, Haresh Dharsandia, Jigar and Jenil. Through this the illegal business of dabba trading was done. According to SMC, the names of 8 customers playing Satta on Cricket ID and 11 customers doing Dabba trading on the server have also been detected. An FIR has also been registered against them and investigation is on. The SMC has arrested all the accused and handed them over to the Anandnagar police station. Eric Shah, Raj Patel and Tommy Unjha have been described as absconding in Cricket ID. In this, Eric Shah, Ajit Khatri and Haresh Dharsandia, Jigar and Jenil are said to be absconding in box trading.

Jignesh was involved in the murder of the infamous Pradeep Don

In 2009, Pradeep Don was shot dead in the Khadia police station limits of Ahmedabad. Police had arrested 5 accused in the murder case. In this, the important role of Jignesh Soni and Rakesh Pandya was revealed. After the murder of Pradeep Don, Jignesh Soni and his henchmen were sent to jail. In Sabarmati Jail, Jignesh mingled with other criminals present there. After coming out on parole, Jignesh Soni started targeting builders doing illegal construction in Ahmedabad Kot area and started extorting money from them. A few years later, an FIR was lodged against Jignesh at the Khadia police station for demanding extortion of Rs 75 lakh.
