Buxar. Four children drowned while taking a bath in the Ganges near Kritpura in Sadar block, out of which 3 died. While the treatment of one is still going on. Four people of the same family drowned in the Ganges in Buxar. The people present on the spot saved one, but three died due to going into deep water. The accident happened when all the people were taking a bath in the Ganges after the rituals of Shraddha. The incident is of Ganga Ghat located near Dani Kutiya. A woman of the family had died 10 days ago and today the family had reached Ganga Ghat after performing her Shradh rituals.
Traditional sources say that everyone was taking a bath in the Ganges after the Dashkarma ceremony. While saving a person drowning in the Ganges, three people drowned one after the other. After this accident, there has been uproar among the relatives of the deceased. Among the dead is the son of Dumraon’s Prabhat Khabar correspondent Manoj Mishra. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Sub-Divisional Officer Dhirendra Kumar Mishra and Mufassil Police Station President Rahul Kumar have reached the spot and at present the dead bodies are being taken into custody and sent for postmortem.
According to the information received in connection with the incident, the mother of Sanjay Mishra, a resident of Laxmipur near Kritpura, had a ritual on Friday. Sanjay Mishra’s brother-in-law Dumraon resident Manoj Mishra alias Bablu Mishra had arrived with his wife and children to participate in this. Along with him, another relative of Sanjay Mishra, Dhananjay Mishra, a resident of Chupepur village of Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh, had also reached with his family. During the Daskarma, the members of the house reached Ganga Ghat near Kritpura to bathe. Sanjay Mishra’s 14-year-old son Satyam Mishra, Manoj Mishra’s 18-year-old son Vikas Mishra and Dhananjay Mishra’s 10-year-old son Priyanshu and 15-year-old son Prince also reached there and got down to bathe in the Ganges.
He was taking a bath when his feet slipped and he went into deep water and started drowning. When the local people saw this scene, somehow the children were pulled out of the Ganges and immediately taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared Sanjay Mishra’s son Satyam Mishra, Manoj Mishra’s son Vikas Mishra and Dhananjay Mishra’s son Priyanshu Mishra dead, while Dhananjay Mishra’s 15-year-old son Prince is still undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital. As soon as this incident came to the fore, there was uproar among the family members. Everyone’s condition is bad by crying. At present, whoever is present on the spot is trying to provide consolation to the relatives of the dead children.
