ISKCON bridge accident: Fact Patel including six in custody, Chief Minister announced compensation

It has been revealed in the ISKCON bridge accident that the streetlight on the bridge was off at the time of the accident and the speed of the car was 170 km per hour. Six people were traveling in the car with loud music playing. There were three girls among them. In this case, the police have detained six people including the accused. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. On the other hand, the relatives of the deceased have demanded strict action against the accused.

According to the primary information, during the accident on the ISKCON bridge, six people including the facts were traveling in the car. All of them were college students. There were also three girls in it. The police are also probing the facts and the relationship between the girls. All the students in the car were in a jovial mood and were enjoying in the car amidst loud music. Due to the loud music, he could not hear any sound from outside. The car was running at a speed of 170. People surrounded the car after the accident. After this, all the people in the car got out and started running to avoid people. Taking advantage of the darkness on the bridge, the rest escaped, but later everyone including the car driver was caught by the people. Nine people, including constable Dharmendra Singh, died in the accident, while more than 10 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to Sola Civil Hospital.

Car driver’s father is also accused in gang rape case

Car driver Fact Patel’s father Pragyesh Patel is accused in a gang rape case. They are accused of gang-raping a Rajkot girl by five youths from Ahmedabad on the pretext of getting her a job in a corporate company. The crime branch is probing the matter after the primary was registered on November 3, 2020.

Chief Minister expressed grief over the incident

On Thursday morning, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed grief over the incident. The Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the kin of those killed in the accident and Rs 50,000 to the injured. State Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi reached the hospital in Ahmedabad to inquire about the condition of the injured. Apart from this, Minister Hrishikesh Patel also reached the hospital. Expressing dissatisfaction over the aid amount, the family members have demanded the minister to take strict action against the accused. He said that he does not need money, we will give 8 lakhs to the government, but the police should take strict action against the accused. In this case, the police have so far detained six people including car driver Fact Patel, his father Pragyesh Patel and three girls. The police is investigating the matter
