An MoU was signed by the state government in Gandhinagar for organizing the 69th Filmfare Awards. Film industries have been attracted to Gujarat after the Cinematic Tourism Policy announced by the state government in 2022. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that Filmfare Award is one of the most prestigious awards in Indian cinema. Holding such a prestigious award ceremony in the state would attract a large number of celebrities, filmmakers and industry professionals to Gujarat. This influx of visitors will give a boost to tourism, hotel booking and other activities in the state and generate employment besides boosting the local economy.
