After ruckus in Ranchi RIMS, students vacate hostel, classes also postponed for 15 days

After the strictness of the Ranchi RIMS management, the students of MBBS and Dental (2019-2022 batch) vacated the hostel on Thursday. Now the students will get entry in the campus only after fresh allotment of hostels. At the same time, classes have also been postponed for 15 days. It may be known that there was a fight between senior and junior students on Tuesday night. On the notice of vacating the hostel, parents and guardians of many students reached RIMS and took them with them. A large crowd of family members was seen outside the girls hostel. The process of vacating the hostel was going on till late evening.

Here, the management has clearly said that if students are seen in the campus during the class suspension period, action will be taken against them. Here, on Thursday morning, dozens of students gathered in front of the administrative building on the notice of a sudden order to vacate the hostel. At that time the meeting of the Student Welfare Committee was going on. That’s why the students wanted to meet the Director Dr. Rajeev Gupta and Dean Dr. Vidyapati and present their side. But, police and home guard personnel stopped the students from leaving. Later the Dean called some students and talked to them. The students asked for permission to keep the luggage in the room itself, after which the dean agreed to it. Here, the RIMS management held a separate meeting and instructed the PG and intern students to adhere to the timings for emergency duty at night. Reach the Central Emergency at nine o’clock in the night.

Students will stay in one hostel for one session

RIMS management has now decided to keep the students of the same session in one hostel. This decision has been taken regarding the fighting between senior and junior students. Presently both senior and junior students were staying in one hostel.

Students stopped the vehicle of director and dean

In the morning, the Director of RIMS held a meeting with the Student Welfare Committee and took stock of the preparations ahead. When the director and the dean came out after the meeting was over, the students stopped their vehicle. After this, the director and the dean got out of the vehicle and talked to the students.

40 students exempted due to supplementary examination

The office bearers of the Student Welfare Committee and the hostel superintendent inspected the hostel on Thursday night. During this, about 40 students requested to stay in the hostel citing supplementary examination. After this, such students were given relief after taking permission from the director and dean.
