Honoring 63 customs and interior employees

The General Authority of Customs honored a number of employees of the Ministry of Interior from the (antiquity) and (drug control) departments. On behalf of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Chairman of the General Authority of Customs, Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Al-Muhannadi, Assistant to the Chairman of the Authority for Customs Affairs, handed over certificates of thanks to 21 employees A member of the Ministry of the Interior, for their distinguished efforts, which were credited with seizing narcotics and important customs violations during the last period. A number of officials and directors of departments from both sides attended the honoring.
The Assistant Chairman of the Authority also honored 42 employees of customs outlets in the departments of land customs, sea customs, Hamad International Airport customs, air freight customs and private airports, due to their efforts in detecting and thwarting the smuggling of a number of narcotic seizures.
In honoring the distinguished employees of both sides, Mr. Assistant Chairman of the Authority thanked the honorees and called on them to exert more efforts to protect the security and safety of the country, stressing the Authority’s keenness to enhance cooperation between it and its partners from the relevant government agencies, and to support the diligent cadres of its partners, for what they are doing. Who works tirelessly to maintain the security and safety of the homeland.
He pointed out that the authority, in turn, provides all means of support and continuous training to its employees so that they are aware of the latest developments and smuggling methods used by smugglers, warning of those who beg themselves to harm the country by introducing prohibited materials in all their forms.
He explained that the General Authority of Customs has made protecting the security of society a major goal in its strategic plan and daily work plans, in order to confront the smuggling of prohibited materials, and work to effectively address the risks of their entry.
For their part, Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Lahdan Al-Muhannadi, Head of the Antiquities Department, and the directors of the land, sea and air customs departments, thanked the higher management of the authority for its interest in honoring the distinguished and for its constant support for all areas of customs work in the country’s ports.
