Samples of paneer were taken by Surat Municipality from various establishments of the city. In which, in case of failure of 10 samples of paneer, a complaint will be lodged by the Municipal Corporation in front of all those institutions. On May 3, 15 samples of paneer were taken from 15 establishments in the city by food inspectors of the food department of Municipal Corporation, out of which 10 samples were found to have failed.
If 10 samples are found non-standard, a complaint will be lodged by the Municipal Corporation against those institutions and the Municipal Corporation also destroyed 240 kg of paneer of these institutions. On May 3, the Food Department of the Municipal Corporation took cheese samples from dairies of different areas of the city and sent them to the lab for examination. In the testing report from the lab, out of the samples of paneer collected on May 3, ten samples were found to be failed.
These ten dairies include Kanaiya Dairy Farm & Sweet (Shop No. 5,6 Platinum Plaza, Sudama Chowk, Mota Varachha), Jai Gayatri Dairy & Parlor (10, Shri Raj Sagar Flat, Botanical Garden Road), Surabhi Dairy Sweet & Ice Cream Parlor ( 7,8 Real Point, Honey Park Road, Adajan), Bharat Dairy (Road No. 10, Udhna Udyognagar, Udhna), Surabhi Dairy Products (Block No.-A, 3-4, Dokoria Campus Khatodara), Lakhani Dairy (83-C , Green Park Un), Shreeji Dairy & Chopati Ice Cream (Shop No-354, Avirbhav-1, Pandesara), Sukhsagar Dairy (125, Shivshankar Society, Bharatnagar, Anjana), Goga Marketing (A/45, Rangavadhoot Society, Parvat), Paneer samples taken from Noorani Dairy Farm (2-3167-C, Paharkhan Mohlo, Sagarampura) failed. The Municipal Corporation has started the process of registering complaints against these institutions.
