Mathura, May 18 (Hindustan Times). Leaving the job of line man in the electricity department of Madhya Pradesh, Lotan Baba, immersed in the devotion of Mother Vaishno Devi, has reached Shri Krishna Nagri Mathura on Thursday late. He is going late from Narmadapuram to Jammu to pay obeisance at the feet of Maa Vaishno Devi.
Lotan Baba told Hindusthan Samachar that on November 10, 2022, he started the journey from Pipariya. Today I have completed 188 days of my journey, during which I have covered a distance of 700 kms. Told that on an average I cover a distance of four to five kilometers per day. He said that he has taken a vow to visit Mata Vaishno Devi. I will fulfill this resolution only by delay, I will not agree. Told that out of 1500 kms journey, I have covered 700 kms.
It is worth mentioning that 65-year-old Sri Sri 108 Ganesh Giri Maharaj alias Lotan Baba is the Mahant of Devi Mandir located near Chamdhi Road Naka. Apart from two sadhus, two disciples are also walking with Lotan Baba. Baba travels on the main highway. That’s why a loader vehicle drives in front of them. Behind it there is a temple of the goddess built on a ledge. A lamp is kept burning with the image of Maa Bhagwati in the temple. Baba worships Mata Rani in the morning and evening and offers prasad.
His servant told that people do not understand anything when they see Baba walking on the road lying down, but when they come to know the reason, they bow their heads in front of his devotion. Lotan Baba’s servant Nabj Giri Baba told that Maharaj ji is an ardent devotee of Mata Rani. He fasts on an empty stomach every Navratra. Get Prasad on the 10th day. So far, he has not faced any kind of problem during the journey, nor any kind of pain, nor has he ever been unwell.
Baba Lotan Das, associated with the Juna Akhara, said that his target is to reach the abode of Maa Vaishno Devi as soon as possible. Attend the court of Bhagwati. I walk 4 to 5 kms like this every day. Then wherever I get rest, I stop there. I will reach the abode of Vaishno Devi in about 6 to 7 months. The distance from Mathura to Vaishno Devi Dham is about 800 kms.

Lotan Baba told that he used to worship Mata Rani since childhood. Used to work as a lineman in Madhya Pradesh Electricity Department. Left the job in 1982. I had such faith in Maa Bhagwati that I left everything, not marriage, brother and family, left everything.
