Patna. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to Darbhanga on Friday 19th May. The Chief Minister will inaugurate various projects completed by the Water Resources Department there. Giving information in this regard, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Jha has said that now flood water will not enter Darbhanga airport. Restoration work of 11.84 km long ring dam built around Darbhanga airport during the time of Darbhanga Maharaj and construction of PCC road on top has been completed. With the construction of the road, there will be convenience in inspection all around.

Mithila Art made in the slope part of the dam will be inaugurated

He said that pebhar block pitching work in about 2 km length in the slope part of the dam and beautification work with Mithila Art in the slope part of the dam towards the main gate of the airport has been completed. We are happy to inform that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate this important scheme of Water Resources Department tomorrow. Various artworks of mosaic art made by Bhagalpur’s daughter Shubhakamini will now be displayed at Darbhanga airport.

The Chief Minister will start the work of this scheme at 11 am

Minister Sanjay Jha said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will start the work of upgradation, strengthening and paving on top (Phase-II) of Kamla Balan left and right embankments in a program organized at Kothram (Darbhanga) at 11 am. In the second phase of this scheme of the Water Resources Department, the work of elevation, strengthening and paving on top of a total length of 56.20 km from Phatki Kutti of Kamla Balan left embankment to Punach and Thengha to Palwa of right embankment is being started at a cost of Rs 296.89 crore. Is.

A total of 80 km length of both the embankments will be elevated

Pavement on top of both the embankments will facilitate traffic in the area and facilitate movement of flood fighting materials during monsoon season. The first phase of this scheme is being done at a cost of Rs 325.10 crore. The work of raising, strengthening and blackening on top of both the embankments in a total length of 80 km, which will benefit lakhs of people of Tardih and Ghanshyampur blocks of Darbhanga district and Rajnagar, Jhanjharpur, Lakhnaur, Babubarhi, Andhrathadi and Madhepur blocks of Madhubani district.
