Ankleshwar – Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), a local premier institute under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India recently celebrated the achievements of its students in a grand certificate distribution ceremony held on 16th May, 2023.
FDDI, with 12 state-of-the-art campuses across the country, offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the growing sectors of footwear, fashion design and retail, and has been instrumental in driving rapid industry growth, creating significant employment and business opportunities. plays.
The celebratory event was organized for the 35 students who successfully completed the three months intensive short term program in Footwear Manufacturing Technologies. The event was organized in association with the Gujarat Rural Industries Marketing Corporation (GRIMCO), a Gujarat government body.
Special Guest, Shri J.B. Dave, Dy. Commissioner & General Manager, District Industries Centre, Bharuch, and Mrs. Khyati Nair, Company Secretary/Senior Manager Leather Branch, GRIMCO, graced the occasion with their esteemed presence. Mr. Pramod Salunkhe, FDDI Campus Incharge, extended a warm welcome to the guests and attendees, which included students and staff of the Institute.
After a soulful rendition of Goddess Saraswati Vandana, the function proceeded with the distribution of certificates to the 35 students of the session 2022-23, marking the successful completion of their intensive training programme.
In his keynote address, Shri J.B. Dave appreciated the students and wished them all the best for their future endeavours. He encouraged the graduates to become entrepreneurs, contribute to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and utilize various government schemes and initiatives for startups and business development.
Mr. Pramod Salunkhe while highlighting the diverse activities of FDDI Ankleshwar and the prospects of Footwear Design and Fashion Design courses encouraged the students to enroll in the academic year 2023-24 for a promising future in the industry.
Mr. Rajesh Parashar, Sr. Faculty, HOD, Department of Footwear, concluded the function by thanking all the attendees and dignitaries for their active participation and making the event a grand success.
