The Dhanbad ACB team has arrested engineer Sanjay Kumar, who took bribe from the contractor and deposited it in the bank account of his wife and son. He was currently posted as Executive Engineer in Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Dumka. He was arrested on Wednesday morning from the house located in Basant Vihar Colony of Argora police station area in Ranchi. After his arrest, the police took him to Dhanbad. From there he was sent to jail in judicial custody.
In the year 2019, a case of acquiring disproportionate assets and corruption has also been registered against him at Dhanbad ACB police station. At present, he has been arrested in Dhanbad ACB police station in a case registered on February 28, 2018, on the complaint of the then Executive Officer of Giridih, Junaid Ahmed.
In this case, a warrant was issued against him from the court, in which he was absconding. When Sanjay Kumar was posted in Giridih, the investigation started against him on the orders of DC. He was accused by Deepak Bharti and Anil Chaudhary that Sanjay Kumar collects illegal money by calling the beneficiaries to his house in lieu of Chapakal, Deep Boring and construction of toilets.
