Because of this, electricity was cut dozens of times a day at Harmu, Vidyanagar, Kantatoli, Gadhatoli, Shanti Nagar, Kokar, Upper Bazar, Thadpakhana, Piska Mod, Bahubazar, Pathalkudwa, Bariatu and Kanke Road and other places. People were suffering from the heat. However, the electricity department continued to claim that the grid was getting enough power and the situation was normal.
Situation worse in rural areas including Ratu-Mander
Consumers were troubled due to irregular supply of electricity from Ratu substation. Consumers of the area said that the erratic power supply that continued since Monday continued on Tuesday as well. On putting the phone in the substation, even the conversation is not happening that till when the situation will be normal.
The mobile number of the assistant electrical engineer of the area also kept getting switched off. Similarly, in Mandar’s Mandar Kurkura, there is a power failure since 2 o’clock on Monday, due to which the consumers have been troubled. The villagers said that they tried several times to talk to the junior electrical engineer, but even once the conversation could not take place.
