Kishtwar/Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir Police has come into action against terrorism and funding terrorists. According to a report, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday raided the homes of five terrorists in Kishtwar district in connection with a case of funding and supporting cross-border terrorism. A senior official told that these terrorists are carrying out incidents from Pakistan and are trying to rekindle terrorism in the region.

Kishtwar Senior Superintendent of Police Khalil Poswal said that the houses of the five terrorists were raided after getting search warrants from the NIA court in Jammu in the case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. These people are currently executing incidents from Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). He told that five teams of SIU and the police raided together.

The officer said the evidence recovered from the raids would be used to indict them for their roles in anti-national activities and incidents of terrorism. The SIU raided the houses of Shahnawaz alias Naeem of Chirul Padyarna, Naeem Ahmed alias Aamir alias Ghazi of Jamia Masjid, Mohammad Iqbal alias Bilal of Kitchlu Market, Shahnawaz alias Munna alias Umar of Hullar Kishtwar and Javed Hussain Giri alias Muzamil of Kundli Pochal.

NIA court issues non-bailable warrants
Let us tell you that on April 26, the NIA court in Jammu had issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists of Kishtwar. These terrorists are carrying out activities from across the border. Earlier, non-bailable warrants were issued against 13 terrorists. Poswal said that 36 people from Kishtwar had migrated to Pakistan following the path of terrorism. Two FIRs were registered against him.
